Well the party was a success!
We were rained out, but we jsut called everyone and asked them to come to our house instead! The little guy was great, he said thanks and gave out kisses and was just so excited for each "pressie" he was given. He go a lot of "Cars - The Movie" merchandise and is in heaven. Last night was the first time he has told us he didn't want to go to bed! Doesnt he know i would have loved to go to bed and let him do the clean up? hehehehe

Anyway, I guess I should get this byte to you and fold my laundry before this day gets really started!

Arg. What a night! The wee one decided that he doesn't really need sleep... well I guess that isn't true, he needs sleep, just prefers it in my arms which means I don't sleep. Mostly he is a great baby, its just every once in a while he decides that every 1.5hrs all night is exactly the right time to cry. sigh.
Then to top it off my husband insists on going into the boys room to "say goodbye" to our older son before he leaves. Most of the time he is still sleeping, but today his eyes were open and now DH is gone and I have two little boys keeping me company... I see a tantrum filled day ahead with the 2 year old.
Sigh... off to have a cup of coffee..

Day 22 - a QP Album!

Surfs Up QP Album...
Flip Flop Hybrid project!

For the QPs this months I have the cutest little hybrid project for you all!
Check this out!

It was super easy to make too! These QPs were made to fit a children's size 1-2 flip flop.
I had my QPs printed then I cut them out and glued them together.
Once the glue was dry I placed the pages into the flip flops and clipped together.
The I drilled two holes for binding.
I then laced some ribbon through the holes!

Voila! A cute little summer album!

Today is a busy day for us... we have W2's 5month check up and then W1 has a program at the library right after. And of course W2 was up a few times last night... because he always seems to wake often the night before a busy day. :::Yawn::: looks like it will be a coffee fueled day for me! And speaking of fuel, my lovely husband left the car on empty so we need to fill up before we start our busy day!

Just one day shy of the big US holiday... wondering what all my American friends have planned?
I've been trying to work on a kit called "For the Love of Dirt". It is inspired by my son's love of helping me in the garden... also know as tromping on my flowers and making dirt hills :) I am having a lot of fun with the kit, but designing is slow going - due mostly to being tired all the time (how quickly we forget the love hate relationship an infant has with sleep!) Anyway thats just me rambling on... for those that are interested these are the "For the Love of Dirt" colours:

Min Tin Album...

Mint Tin Albums make great gifts! Its a cute little album in a solid case to protect it! Best part they are EASY!!!

How to make a mint tin album…

Eat a tin of altoids… mmm… minty fresh breath!
Add your pictures to the QP and flatten the images
Open a new document at 300dpi and canvas sized to the paper you will be printing on
Arrange your flattened quick pages into this canvas (you may need more that one)
Print then out on photo paper or cardstock
At this point there are many ways you can bind your finished project
OPTION 1: Cut the photos out and bind them with some ribbon (link to Ramona’s mint tin)
OPTION 2: Cut out the photos and glue them to a coordinated cardstock cut slightly larger, but small enough to fit in the tin (link to Leslie’s mint tin)
OPTION 3: Cut a piece of cardstock approximately 10 inches long and 3 ¼ inches wide and make an adhere 5 pages to each side of the cardstock to make a mini accordion album (sorry no picture of this one yet).
Attach the covers and lid insert to the tin! Voila a quick and pretty Hybrid album!!

I've fallen a few weeks behind in scrapping my project 365 pictures, so these LOs are from Feb 15 - 21 and Feb 22 - 28. Like 99% of my project 365 pictures, my two little men are the focus!

I scrapped these with the beautiful kit "Lucky Me" by Ramona over at Brownie Scraps.

This kit is just darling and well worth adding to your collection. These soft colours complement a wide array of pictures!

Moma's Little Monster

Well, I am back!

I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, Wolfgang Paul on February 11th and have been slowly settling in and adjusting to being a Mom of two!

Wolfgang is a wonderful addition to our family and I have fallen in love all over again!

To celebrate his birth I created a kit!

"Little Boy Blue"

My good friend Jennie asked me to create a kit using blues and browns. For a while we tossed around the idea of calling this kit "Blue and Poo" (as we both plan to use the kit to scrap our young sons...) but decided that a more universal title would be more fitting! LOL

Its been a while since I last posted, but I have been busy designing (and being a Mom, and working...) anywho... Here is my latest kit. Called "Pumpkin Spice" The name was inspired by some good friends and their love of a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks! I just love the rich colours in this kit!

A new day a new LO...

I am still working on my wedding albulm, its not that bad really, i've only been married 2 years...
I asked my brides maids to write me a note or letter about what they remember about the day. This is a LO of me and my maid of honour and the journaling is the letter she wrote to me.

The journaling reads as follows:

Dear Leslie,
I read so many articles about how best to be prepared to help you on your wedding day. I had packed a bag of just in case items and worried about being able to help as best I could. But I was the only one worried. You were so calm and collected when we first woke up that morning that I had to take you lead. I remember you saying that you weren’t stressed, nor did you have cold feet because you knew what you were doing was right.
When it came time to get you into your dress, and even though I had already seen how your hair would be done up, and had seen you in your dress after your fitting, at that moment you looked so beautiful. Then I became nervous and anxious that that special day had finally come, but again, there you were worry free.
I remember that it was a busy morning, going from one place to the next, up until the time when the photos were taken. And once the fireplace was cleared away, and the picture taking commenced I finally had a chance to sit back and soak in what was happening. There you were surrounded by your family, they looked on you so fondly and wanted to be nowhere but there with you.
I think it was your father who was the first to get nervous. I noticed it as we got into the limo on our way to the church, then it seemed to hit us all. We were getting into the limo to head to your wedding, I couldn’t really believe it was all happening. Then we snuck into the church basement, talked and got ready.
What I remember most is when we started heading upstairs. As you stood just out of sight I watched Andrea walk down the isle. I turned around a looked at you once more before I headed down. As I walked down, saw all the people surrounding me who were so happy, people smiling at me even though they had no idea who i was, I looked up at Marc standing at the front....and he looked nervous. It was as though he was looking at the ground, kind of pacing in place. But as soon as the music started he looked up, waiting to see you walk down the isle, only you, with a huge smile on his face. The rest of the day was kind of a whirlwind of events. The photos at the greenhouse, waiting for you and Marc to return from your own photos, making your announcement at the reception and the plethora of people who passed on their best wishes either through speech or when they passed by the table. But the moment when you walked down the isle time stood still, and that moment is one of the most precious moment of our friendship. Thank you for letting me share it with you, letting me stand by your side. And I know that I didn’t give a speech, though I certainly wish I had. I had written a speech, several in fact, all of which shared with all the people who knew you and Marc, and who probably already knew, that your wedding and your relationship in general, is one that deserves celebration.

One of our "jobs" as CTs over at Brownie Scraps was to create a LO of ourselves as well as a short bio. This was one of the hardest pages for me to scrap because I am not used to focusing on myself! But I really like the way it turned out so I've decided to share!

Family Photo Day - Digi Pop free quick page!

August 31st we had our first family photoshoot! My husbands family all got together at a park and a photographer took pictures of our individual house hold and of the group as a whole! We just got the pictures back last night and they turned out better than any of us could have hoped for! Taking pictures of Wyatt, my 13month old son was tricky, but the photographer, Andrew Goodwin was able to get some FANTASTIC shots of Wyatt as well as Wyatt, my husband and I. Here is the first page I made of our Family photo day! To make this page I used the "Digi Pop" kit by Scrappin' Daisies available over at Brownie Scraps.

I loved this LO so much that I've decided to give it away!

One of the the challenges over at Brownie Scraps for September was to create our own overlays and use them to complete a 12 paper paper pack using at least 5 colours set out in the Challenge. Without furthur ado the paper pack!
